Weekend Recap

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? It's a busy time at work for me so I spent a good chunk of my weekend working.  However, I did find some time in between my work to enjoy a bit of the weekend.

Saturday I met Ange at barre where we ended up showing up dressed the exact same (not the first time it's happened) followed by a trip to the farmers market.  I missed going to the farmers market so much of the summer and am loving that I have had the time the last few weekends to get here. Produce from the framers market doesn't even compare to what you get in the grocery store. Saturday night we had some friends and their little guy over for pizza and wine. Oh and I made brownies with peanut butter icing (thanks Alison for this recipe!)

Sunday morning I got up and met Brie, Jen, Laura and Ange for brunch at OEB before I headed into work. I had never been there for brunch and needless to say I will be back! It was amazing :) Their menu is huge (which can also be a downfall with so many choices) but had so many unique items that it made me want to come back and try more. They have everything from regular bacon and egg breakfast to things like french toast trifle with lemon curd. I picked one of their breakfast boxes which was potatoes with pieces of bacon and cheese with poached eggs on top.  Almost like a breakfast bowl poutine. After we grabbed coffees from Monogram before we headed out. They have pumpkin spice lattes for month which gave anywhere else that makes them a run for their money. I liked their version since it wasn't too sweet, but wished they made them with their signature nut milk as I don't take in a lot of dairy.  From there I went into work till almost suppertime.

That pretty much sums up my weekend. I am sitting here now typing this post and watching Daddy's Home.

How was your weekend?

  2. I really want to try Monogram. I'm sad that I wasn't able to join for brunch. Truthfully, the weather was fine and I could have driven down for it!
